Walk Alongside Families Facing the Unimaginable with Sweet Julia Grace Foundation
About Our April Nonprofit Partner:
Sweet Julia Grace Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting medically fragile children in Northern Virginia and West Virginia. It was founded by Sara and Jason Knight in honor of their daughter Julia, who passed away in 2013 due to I-cell disease. Its mission is to bless, celebrate, and love children with complex medical needs by granting wishes that bring joy, filling gaps in services, and offering daily support to families facing medical crisis. SJGF works to cut through the red tape of insurance and governmental resources, ensuring families receive the help they need during the most difficult times. Learn more.
Project Goals:
Raise $3000 for SJGF’s Rainy Day Fund, which covers expenses such as essential, non-medical bills (housing and utilities); gift cards for gas, groceries, and meals; travel and lodging costs while pursuing specialized care; and medical food and formula.
Raise $1,750 through in-kind donations to provide 45 Parent Care Packages to families facing medical crisis. These bags, which are distributed by medical professionals at local hospitals, serve as vital resources for families during emergencies.
