2025 Projects

March: Teaching Empathy and Inclusion to Students

Through in-kind donations for supplies, a grant for curriculum and training, and volunteer hours, S4G gave 4 Title I schools access to the powerful, in-demand Walk In My Shoes (WIMS) program. The WIMS program gives kids knowledge, perspective, and new tools for including others who may feel isolated because of a variety of challenges, such as allergies, English language barriers, ADHD, dyslexia, visual impairment, and sensory disorders. Our donations totalled $5,097, empowering WIMS to do more as it celebrates its 10th year!

February: $6K Raised to Support Those Impacted by Substance Abuse

Our project with the Chris Atwood Foundation resulted in 200 Winter Comfort Kits for people fighting opioid addiction. In total we raised $6,000, including $2,399 in in-kind donations for the Winter Comfort Kits and a grant of $3,601 to CAF’s Basic Needs Fund. We also visited the CAF Community Center, where members learned about CAF's critical work in the community and received Narcan training.

January: Hope and Healing for Abused Children

Together we raised $4,980 in financial and in-kind donations for SafeSpot Children's Advocacy Center! Financial donations will provide 200 meals for two pilot support groups for teen victims of child abuse and their caregivers. Funds will also be used to provide transportation assistance. Our in-kind donations allowed for the purchase of journals, educational materials, and care items for survivors.
